NAMA-Certified

Classes are led by Aaron K. Weeks, a Certified Anger Management Specialist-II (CAMS-II) through the National Anger Management Association. His instruction emphasizes understanding anger, accepting responsibility, and practicing skills that participants can apply in their relationships, workplaces, and communities.

Participants can expect a respectful learning environment with clear expectations for attendance, participation, and practice. The purpose is to connect what happens in class with the choices that happen outside it, so participants can identify their patterns and build a more responsible response to difficult situations.

MRT, CBT & Values

Our educational approach draws on nationally recognized methods and connects the workbook's anger management topics with cognitive behavioral skills. CBT-based practice helps participants examine the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, question assumptions that intensify conflict, and rehearse more constructive responses.

Supplemental MRT-informed discussions focus on responsibility, consequences, and consideration for other people. These discussions invite participants to examine the reasoning behind their choices and recognize how those choices affect relationships, responsibilities, and future opportunities.

Values-based practice asks participants to identify what matters to them and translate those values into specific behavior. The goal is to strengthen accountability, reduce harmful responses, and support recidivism prevention by helping people avoid repeat offenses through education and consistent practice.

Workbook Curriculum

Classes use Anger Management Workbook and Curriculum, Second Edition, by Richard Pfeiffer and Laura Beth Moss. Its twelve modules address anger logs, automatic reactions, awareness, calming skills, shame, destructive thinking, judgment, communication, conflict, stress, mindfulness, and practical strategies for continued growth.

The 12-week program follows the workbook's one-module-per-week sequence. The 8-week program is a condensed Weeks Restoration Foundation adaptation that combines selected topics and includes reflection and skills practice between classes. The schedules below show the planned focus of each 90-minute session.

8-week curriculum • 12 instructional hours

Court & Probation

If a court, probation officer, attorney, or agency referred you, confirm the provider, required number of classes or hours, attendance format, and completion deadline before enrolling. The Foundation can discuss the program with you and coordinate applicable reporting requirements, while the referring authority determines whether the course satisfies its order.

Successful completion requires the assigned attendance, participation, educational activities, and skills practice. Completion documentation identifies the program, actual attendance dates, instructional hours completed, and fulfillment of program requirements. NAMA instructor certification doesn't guarantee acceptance by every court.

This course provides educational anger management and isn't a certified Batterer Intervention Program. It also doesn't represent completion of the separate, full MRT program. If your order requires either of those specific services, confirm the appropriate program with your referring authority.

Virtual or In Person

Live virtual classes provide real-time interaction with the instructor and group. Participants join from a private setting with a reliable internet connection and take part in discussion and educational activities throughout the 90-minute class. Court-referred participants should confirm that their referring authority accepts virtual attendance.

In-person classes meet at 600 Small Street, Suite 102B, Gallatin, TN 37066. Both formats use the same $35 class rate and meet once a week. Contact the Foundation for current class days, start times, start dates, and available spaces before making plans around a completion deadline.
